Opening Doors to Opportunity

In Port Harcourt and across Nigeria, securing quality education can be a significant challenge, particularly for children orphaned or living in vulnerable situations. This lack of opportunity can limit potential and perpetuate cycles of disadvantage.

Divine Benevolent Care Organization (DBCO) is deeply committed to changing this narrative, intervening decisively to meet the educational needs of these children.

Current Impact: Opening Classroom Doors

DBCO actively works to ensure vulnerable, school-aged children gain access to the learning they deserve. Our direct actions have already made a difference:

Enrolling the Unenrolled: We identify Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) lacking access to schooling and facilitate their entry into the educational system. To date, DBCO has successfully enrolled over 35 OVC.
Bringing Children Back to School: Understanding that circumstances can interrupt education, we strive to re-integrate those who have dropped out. DBCO has helped over 20 out-of-school children return to their studies.

Future Vision: Divine Benevolent International Missionary School (DBIMS)

Our commitment extends beyond current interventions. DBCO is actively mobilizing funds and support to establish a state-of-the-art group of schools: the Divine Benevolent International Missionary School (DBIMS). This ambitious project aims to create a comprehensive learning institution encompassing:

Primary School
Junior Secondary School
Senior Secondary School

Our Vision for DBIMS:

Completely Free for OVC: Enrolled Orphans and Vulnerable Children will receive a quality education entirely free of charge.
Subsidized Fees for Others: To ensure broader community access while maintaining sustainability, other pupils will benefit from significantly subsidized fees.
Open to Partnership: We wholeheartedly welcome partnerships with international organizations or donors who share our vision and wish to help make DBIMS holistically tuition-free and materials-free for all enrolled pupils.
